Email alias and sending
Two separate things live in Portal → Account → Email: an address people can write to, and the account your mail goes from. You can use either, both, or neither.
Your branded address
Section titled “Your branded address”Once you have claimed a handle, you get an address on mobilelabs.ai built from it: your handle, then the mobilelabs.ai domain. It appears at the top of the panel with a copy button, ready to put on a card or a truck.
Switch on Forward incoming mail and enter the inbox you actually read, and anything sent to the branded address is re-sent there. You do not need a new mailbox or an app; it lands where your mail already lands. Send test email proves the path end to end before you print anything.
Leave the switch off if you would rather just use your own address. The branded one is optional.
Send email as you
Section titled “Send email as you”By default, outgoing messages (review requests, broadcasts, and the rest) go out from the platform. Connect your own email account and they go out from your business address instead, which is better for replies and better for deliverability.
Choose your provider and the panel fills in the technical bits for you. Gmail and Brevo are both free to start with; Mailgun and anything else that gives you sending credentials work too, via Other provider. Then supply:
- The server address and port from your provider (prefilled if you picked one of the presets).
- Your username, usually the email address itself.
- A password. For most providers this must be an app password generated in their security settings, not your normal login password.
- An optional from name, which is what recipients see. Use your business name.
Choose Connect, then Send me a test and go check your inbox. Your credentials are stored encrypted and never shown back to you; Disconnect removes them, and sending falls back to the platform.
Once connected, review requests from Testimonials and campaigns from Lists and broadcasts all send from your address.
