Phlebotomist map
The map is an opt-in directory of members, city by city. It exists for one practical reason: when you’re double-booked, sick, or a draw sits an hour outside your range, there’s someone nearby who can take it, and when they’re slammed, that someone is you. Included on the higher plans. See the pricing page for what’s available today.
Add yourself to the map
Section titled “Add yourself to the map”Open Portal → Phleb Map and choose Add me to the map.
- Search for your city, drop a pin on the map, or use your current location.
- Turn on Open to opportunities if you can take work. Your pin gets a green ring so others can see it at a glance.
- List up to eight specialties, comma-separated, such as pediatric, home health, or difficult sticks.
- Save.
You control all of it. You only appear if you switch Show me on the map on, and switching it off removes you again. Your pin is approximate rather than an exact address, and you choose where to drop it. Search for your city instead of using your current location if you work from home. Edit your pin any time from the banner at the top of the page.
Send an opportunity
Section titled “Send an opportunity”Tap a pin, or a name in the roster beside the map, to see that member’s city, headline, specialties, and whether they’re currently open to work. Then choose Propose an opportunity and fill in:
- a short title, like “Cover three home draws Thursday morning”
- the details: what the work is, where, and any requirements
- the location, the date and time, and what you’re offering, if you want to state it up front
They get it in their portal and can accept or decline.
Your opportunities inbox
Section titled “Your opportunities inbox”The Opportunities tab holds everything Received and everything Sent, each with its status. Accept or decline anything waiting on you. Declining asks for a quick confirmation so you can’t tap it by accident. Once an opportunity is accepted, the two of you coordinate the details directly; Lab In A Box passes the message, not the arrangement.
