Connect payments

Client payments belong in your account. Connect your own Whop under Portal → Account → Payments and every invoice pay link you send charges into your Whop balance. It takes a few minutes, you only do it once, and the panel walks you through it on screen.

Before you start

You need a Whop company of your own: a business account with at least one product for your services. Don’t have one yet? Create a free account at whop.com and add a product first. One hidden product is enough, since every one-off charge attaches to it.

1. Create an API key

In your Whop dashboard open Developer → API keys, find the company API keys section, and choose Create. Name it something you’ll recognize later, like “Lab In A Box”. Grant the key the permissions the panel lists on screen. Since this is your own account, a key with full permissions works too. Whop shows the key once, so copy it and paste it into Whop API key.

2. Find your company id

Paste the company id shown in your Whop dashboard address bar into Company ID. It’s listed in your Whop settings as well.

3. Find your product id

Open the product your clients will be paying for, copy the product id, and paste it into Product / access-pass ID. Then press Connect Whop. A green Connected badge means you’re live, and your invoice pay links start working immediately.

4. Optional: let paid invoices close themselves

Once you’re connected, the panel offers one optional extra step that lets a paid invoice close itself automatically. Follow the on-screen instructions in the panel. Skip it and you simply mark invoices paid by hand.

Changing or disconnecting

Come back any time to update a value. Leave the key field blank and the one you already saved stays put. Disconnect removes the connection. Clients can’t pay your invoices online until you reconnect, though every invoice and its history stays exactly as it was.

Note

Connected accounts and keys are stored encrypted, and your key is only ever shown back to you masked.
