What Claude Connect is

Claude Connect lets you plug Claude, or any other MCP-compatible assistant, into your own Lab In A Box account. Ask “how did my week go?” and the answer comes from your real clients, invoices, leads, and bookings, not from a chatbot guessing. Ask for something to be done and it lands in an approval queue in the portal, where you decide. It lives at Portal → Claude Connect.

The safety model, plainly

Three things are true of every connection, and they’re the whole reason this is safe to use on a real business:

It reads your account only. The connection sees exactly what you see when you sign in: your clients, your invoices, your bookings. Never another member’s. It runs through the same permission checks your portal does.
Every change waits for you. Claude cannot create, send, or edit anything on its own. A proposed action becomes a request under Waiting for your approval, showing the exact details: the invoice total, the email wording, the picture. Nothing happens until you tap Approve. Tap Decline and nothing was changed.
You can cut it off in one click. Revoke a connection and it stops working right away. You can also create read-only connections that can never file a change request at all.

What you need

Claude Connect needs an active trial or subscription. If your billing lapses the connection pauses until you restart it. See Plans and trial.

You don’t need to be technical. If you can paste a link into a settings screen, you can set this up.
